4.21.21 Poem:
Ma
All hail
The great mighty
Ma
The place where one day I’ll rest my bones
‘I let go of my life’
Not in fear
Yet in opening palms to the universe
Universe
Take me
Use me
Move through me
In my blood, my veins, my heart
mystery, ma,
I seek not to define, to own, to label you.
You are like water
Slipping through the cracks of fingertips
You are like air
Caressing the bumps of skin
Like moss, a place to rest on
Some days like thorns
Kicking ass, reminding me to...
give my blood back
Reminding me that like anything living, all things come in cycles.
Reminding me, that even in winter when pedals return does not reflect the love we are, and that we too have that 🌱 inside us.
Ma
Your cold water helps me remember I’m alive!!!
Thank goddess for your cold bitters that get me screaming: thank you!!! Thank you for this life. Thank you for your gifts. Even when it hurts. I remember you are sacred.
What would it be, to be grown here, but still to take that first breath again.
What would it be for all of us to take that first breath? (like cold water)
To be born again where the make up of the mind dissipates to the child of the world.
Innocence ☀️
Beginners mind
Where the only thought was curiosity taking one to the next step.
What would it be to be taken back to our 1st breath?
Raw, torn, lost, belting, wailing, bloody, scraped into the world. Rejoicing in pain.
Rejoicing in love.
What would it be to live our life so that one day the world rejoices with the same 1st cry we came in with.
Ma
I know these questions will soon one day not need to be answered.
